Monochromatic Black is a Long Island, New York-based progressive deathcore/metal outfit known for blending crushing heaviness with technical musicianship, atmospheric tension, and dynamic songwriting. Formed in 2018, the band quickly gained attention in the underground heavy scene through a mix of brutal breakdowns, progressive influences, and the commanding vocal range of frontwoman Tanya Beickert.
Their early singles “The Herd” and “Phosphenes” helped establish the band’s sound, leading into the release of their debut EP Pneuma in 2019 and later the full-length album Vicissitude in 2021. Since then, Monochromatic Black has continued evolving their sound through releases like Predacious and Vehemence, showcasing a balance of aggression, melody, and technical precision.
Known for relentless touring and an intense live presence, the band has steadily built momentum across the U.S. heavy music scene, sharing stages with notable acts and earning praise from deathcore fans for their punishing live sets and emotionally charged material.
