About this Event

Monochord & Meditation

A beautiful session blending a simple, science-backed meditation method with the immersive trance like resonance of the Monolina (monochord), to guide you into a deep state of relaxation.

Unlike concentration or mindfulness practices that require effort or control, this approach works with the natural tendencies of your mind, not against them.

You’ll be guided through an effortless meditation process, supported with live Monolina meditative playing.

What to Expect

During this session you’ll experience:

· Arrival grounding and gentle breathflow to settle into the session

· Effortless meditation technique

· A live Monolina sound immersion to deepen relaxation

· Time to rest, integrate and return gently

This process helps activate the relaxation response, which is the biological opposite of fight-or-flight.

The longer we learn and are able to access this state, the more it expands into everyday life, creating a response rather than reaction to life and its ups and downs.

Within a state of relaxation:

· Breath naturally softens

· Heart rate slows

· Muscles release tension

· Digestion and immunity switch back on

· The mind becomes quietly settled without trying

About the Monochord / Monolina

The Monolina is a modern form of the monochord, an ancient string instrument traditionally used for meditation and healing.

It produces layered harmonics and overtones that create a gentle, continuous vibration through the body and space.

Rather than being “music to listen to,” the sound acts more like a resonant field that the nervous system and brain responds to naturally.

Benefits of Monochord Sound in Meditation

Research and sound-therapy practice suggest monochord tones may help:

· Slow brainwave activity toward alpha/theta states (these states allow emotional processing and rest to occur)

· Reduce mental overactivity and rumination

· Support nervous system regulation

· Improve emotional processing and release

· Create a sense of safety and grounding in the body

· Deepen meditation without effort

· Promote rest similar to early sleep cycles

Many people describe the experience as:

“Like being wrapped in sound”

“Floating but grounded”

“Deeply calming for the body, not just the mind”

When paired with effortless meditation, the Monolina helps the mind settle more easily and allows the body to drop into a deeper restorative state.

Who is this for

Perfect for beginners, stressed professionals, sensitive or empathic individuals, people with busy minds, those in life transitions or experiencing high mental load and anyone seeking a grounded, calming practice that actually fits into daily life.
