In 2002 Gemma opened the School of St Jude with 3 students and a dream to bring the opportunity of free high-quality education to children living in poverty. Today, the School of St Jude educates 1800 students across primary and secondary campuses, achieving among the top results in Tanzania.
Thanks to the support of everyday Australians, the school not only provides education but plays a significant role improving economic, social and health outcomes for families.
Gemma and a graduate of the school, Faith Samwel, is visiting Canberra to share firsthand the incredible impact the school and the Australians who support it, has had on students, the local community and Tanzania.
