About Crystal Joy:
Crystal Joy is a multi-hyphenate performing artist born and based in her hometown of New York City. Representing three generations of artistic excellence in her bloodline, Crystal’s own career stands alone and spans two decades. While her natural gifts showed signs at an early age, her trajectory began to take shape when she was accepted into Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS of Music & Art and the Performing Arts, of which both she and her father are alumni. It was there through study with excellent instructors that she acquired skills that have both propelled and sustained her for the past 20 years.
An accomplished songwriter, Crystal won first place for Vocal Composition from Sony BMG’s World of Expression Scholarship program. Since, she’s been afforded opportunities to compose original works for the stage as well as her own singles “Roots” and “Been Magic,” currently available on all streaming platforms.
With credits spanning both Broadway and Off-Broadway, the West End, multiple national tours and regional sitdowns, Crystal is forever grateful to have been a part of productions that have aligned with artistic principles she’s learned not only at home but in academe and community as well.
