About this Event
Moments 1964: Beatles’ First U.S. Tour Photographed by Curt Gunther
Captured from behind the mania, Curt Gunther’s photographs reveal moments of private reflection, bewilderment, and ecstatic joy. A Berlin native, Gunther was among the very few photographers invited to accompany the band, offering rare, unguarded access to life alongside the Fab Four.
These images, many seldom seen, provide an honest glimpse into the experience on the road: from back seats and backstage corridors to unexpected detours far from the spotlight. Together, they paint a vivid portrait of what it truly felt like to witness Beatlemania from the inside.
Join us at Lukaro, 313 N Crescent Dr on June 11, 2026 at 5:30 PM (PDT) for an evening exploring this extraordinary moment in music history. The event will include a short presentation by Beatles historian Chuck Gunderson, author of Some Fun Tonight, along with a rare opportunity to experience these intimate photographs up close.
