Mohanad Elshieky is a New York–based, Libyan-born comedian whose calm, conversational style hides some of the sharpest political and cultural commentary in stand-up today. With a deceptively laid-back delivery and razor-smart perspective, Mohanad blends personal storytelling with incisive humor that consistently surprises audiences.
He made his national television debut on Conan, followed by appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central, and Don’t Tell Comedy. Mohanad has also toured nationally with the critically acclaimed storytelling phenomenon Pop-Up Magazine, bringing his thoughtful, story-driven comedy to audiences across the country.
Beyond the stage, Mohanad is a writer and consultant for the hit political podcast Lovett or Leave It, and previously co-hosted Lemonada Media’s podcast I’m Sorry. His work has been featured in Kumail Nanjiani’s Little America, and he previously served as a digital producer on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. In 2018, he appeared on Epix’s Unprotected Sets and was named one of Thrillist’s 50 Best Undiscovered Comics.
