Athletics Tauranga has created the Modern Office King and Queen of the Beach Community 2km and 5km Fun Run and Walk - an event that preserves the name and legacy of the Mauao King and Queen of the Mountain while shifting the focus toward community connection, remembrance, and giving back.
Starting at 11am on the beach next to Moturiki (Leisure Island), participants will head in the direction of Omanu/Papamoa, either 1km or 2.5km, where they will turn around and head back to the finish line.
After the last person has finished (approx 12:30pm) we will hold a prize giving on the grass at the base of Hopukiore (Mt Drury) with lots of spot prizes up for grabs!
