About this Event
Communicate to Mobilise: Lessons from the Activist’s Handbook
Leaders need to mobilise their organisations. Managers need to rally their teams. Salespeople need to ignite their customers. They all need to be able to communicate powerfully to get people to do something: to change the status quo, to instigate action, to flock to the cause, to sign on the dotted line, to buy the dog food.
Powerful movements of the past have mobilised people. Whether it is the Civil Rights Movement, Women’s Liberation or Environmental Activists - powerful communication, using a purposeful campaign message, igniting a ‘community’ of people who coalesce around an idea and are inspired into action. The mobilisation of an activist community, whether the cause is something you agree with or not, is undeniably the result of some powerful communication.
Any movement, revolution or campaign has lessons for us in being powerful communicators. What can we learn from the activist’s handbook that will help us communicate powerfully, present impactfully, influence and inspire?
This seminar will explore how to:
- Create compelling messages.
- Engage and inspire others.
- Capture people’s imaginations
