We run an annual trip to Dubbo which consists of visits to local schools where we discuss first aid, hygiene, medical equipment such as stethoscopes, and the organs of the body withchildren across a range of ages, to, not only educate, but dispel anxiety surrounding hospital visits.
We also work with the Hear Our Heart Foundation who conduct hearing tests and screening for any hearing deficiencies in primary school-aged children.
Not only is it an opportunity to learn about rural healthcare, but is genuinely an amazing opportunity to meet new people and enjoy a common goal for helping in outreach!
