- 7 am start time for second shift to help load baskets into vehicles (usually done by 9:30am)
We gather every year to assist the Metro Police Charities Basket Program. This year your help is needed more than ever. Please plan to arrive at the West Police Precinct as early as 4 am to help fill baskets, so early risers will be appreciated!!
The Basket has significantly increased delivery numbers to provide to more families (200), elderly shut-ins (130) and emergency cases (50). Our HOG volunteers are needed loading baskets, moving baskets, and in the toy loading area. Due to an increase in families being served, please note this year we have added a “second shift” to the schedule, beginning at 7:00am.
Schedule:
4:00am First shift of HOG members loading baskets
5:30am Roll Call
6:00am First delivery out.
7:00am Second shift of HOG members moving baskets and loading
The last baskets loaded are typically gone by 9:30am
HOG vests and Chapter rockers are encouraged, as well as Santa hats & other Christmas apparel. Let's celebrate Christmas together helping others!
***Arrangements have been made for HOG Volunteer parking at the Comfort Inn, 412 White Bridge Place. Volunteers parking at the Comfort Inn can walk through the gated entry right into the food bay, easy in and out.
