Mixed Media Landscape
Get ready for an exciting adventure in artistry. In this workshop you will use watercolour techniques with acrylics on an unexpected canvas. Your will be thrilled with this new medium - it's not your traditional watercolour paper! No experience is not required! This is a great workshop for all levels.
TIMES: 10am, 1pm, and 3:30pm
LENGTH: 2 hours
LOCATION: 1000 Parker St. Studios #208. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your workshop time to allow time to check in. There will be somone to help you check-in outside of 1000 Parker.
AGES: Adults (ages 16 and up), Suitable for beginners and up
PRICE: $35 per person per workshop
ACCESSIBILITY: This studio is not wheelchair accessible. The studio is located up1 flight of stairs and there is no elevator avalaible. The building can get hot in afternoon during summer. We will communicate verbally with members of the public using listening and spoken language in English. Seating in the studio is varied, some may have chairs or stools at short height, counter, or bar height seating. Weight capacities of seating is unknown. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs.
is a contemporary mixed media artist and has taught mixed media to adults for over 14 years. Through trial and error, she has developed unique techniques such as large embossed acrylic skins, mixed media paintings on hand-rusted steel sheets, and paintings on engraved plaster. She continuously explores and experiments with new combinations of materials and methods to present her creative vision in a distinctive and contemporary way. This adventuring also informs her art lessons ensuring her teaching is always unique and fresh.
~~~ In addition to participation in this workshop, your ticket includes access to our General Admission Create! Art Zone located in Strathcona Park on July 27th from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The Art Zone will feature multiple drop-in public participation art activities, access to the Festival Art Shop, as well as the beer garden, food trucks AND live music presented in partnership with Light Organ Records & 604 Records. To get into the Art Zone, you will have to show your workshop ticket.~~~~

If you would like to cancel your attendance, we will offer you a refund, provided that you inform us at least 4 days prior to the scheduled event. Eastside Arts Festival is taking place in Strathcona Park, and in pop up locations such as breweries, performance venues, and art studios across the Eastside Arts District.

The Eastside Arts Society is thrilled to announce that the 9th Annual Art! Bike! Beer! Crawl fundraiser & tour will be held in person on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 a part of the CREATE! Eastside Arts Festival. Tickets are each $55 + GST & processing fee.
