Collectively and individually, they have amassed a large list of credits as sidemen for the likes of bluesmen Taj Mahal, Bo Diddley, Hubert Sumlin, Eddy Clearwater, Eddie ‘cleanhead’ Vinson.... (as well as many other artists and diverse genres). Multi- award winning (Junos, Maple Blues Awards), the Grand Koolios pedigree and musicianship is undeniable!They have been the house band for the Pender Harbour Blues Festival for the last 8 years, supporting a wide selection of artists (David Vest, Brent Parkin, Jim Byrnes, John Lee Sanders, Russel De Carle, Sean Verreault). Recently, they performed at the Vancouver Folk Festival backing up Grammy Award winning Mike Farris. Formidable chameleons, the Koolios often expand their ranks to include the awesome talents of saxophonist Jerry Cook and pianist/organist Dave Webb.
