Japanese-American Mitski is coming to Belgium again. The intriguing singer-songwriter will present her new album 'The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We' on 14 May at Cirque Royal (Brussels).
Mitski Miyawaki has been regarded as one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters by reviewers and her horde of loyal fans since her debut album ('Lush', 2012). Her songs invariably start from a recognisable and singular vulnerability, over which she expertly drapes diverse musical layers. Mitski's music is difficult to grasp, which is why it is so appealing and intriguing. She experiments with genres ranging from dreampop over goth folk to indie rock, effortlessly mixing orchestral arrangements with synths and sensitive vocals. Thus, she speaks to both the TikTok generation and the underground-scene enthusiast.
