This is a project of revolutionary songs from the 60s and 70s,
impregnated with a touch of jazz typical of the Atlantic Avenue trio and the softness of Ana Rocha's voice.
Atlantic Avenue Trio is a jazz trio that improvises on Portuguese and Brazilian melodies.
After their debut album in 2023, featuring Portuguese fado, samba
and Brazilian choro, they have now embarked on a new song project in collaboration with singer Ana Rocha.
The year 2024 marks 50 years since the Portuguese revolution. The band will play songs from the revolution that were sung by women voices of the time, such as Luiza Basto, Tonicha, Simone de Oliveira, Tereza Paula Brito, Maria da Gloria, Amalia, ...
