About this Event

At our kick-off event, Jothsna Harris, founder of Change Narrative, will be both expert and storyteller at this month’s workshop. Jothsna Harris implements climate change programs that are rooted in community and centered on personal stories.

Artist Kimberly Boustead will lead participants through a collaborative art project consisting of personalized squares depicting a healthy Mississippi River. Participants will learn simple stitches and applique to adorn their squares with botanical dyed stitching and wool elements.

Participants are welcome to stay and mingle. MWMO is hosting the Elm Tree Story Booth and folks are encouraged to share their own Mississippi River stories in the booth.

Older children are welcome.
