We welcome the Revd Canon Chris Russell, Advisor to the Archbishop of Canterbury on Evangelism & Witness. Chris Russell’s most recent book ‘Yearning for the fast and endless sea’ makes a timely and inspiring case for Christian evangelism, with an impassioned invitation to the church to be inspired by the Good News itself, and find joy in challenging times to share the Gospel.

Chris is joined by Revd Dr Ben Aldous, Principal Officer for Evangelism and Mission at Churches Together in England. Ben will be speaking to us about ‘Slow Mission’. Ben is author of ‘The God who Walks Slowly’, drawing on the theology of Kosuke Koyama, encouraging an approach to mission which truly reflects the rhythm, pace, vision and surrender of Christ.

And we are delighted to be welcoming Heidi Lewis, Church Army Evangelist and Youth Leader in Dartmouth and Dittisham Mission Community, who'll be sharing her experiences of being an evangelist.

Revd Jeremy Putnam, Diocesan Mission Enabler will also be sharing news about the launch of new commissioned roles within the diocese, that seek to honour those that have a sense of calling toward evangelism and mission in their Mission Communities. He'll also be revisiting the Come and See faith sharing campaign from 2023, and will talk about the resources for autumn and winter 2024/5.
