Guided Yoga Nidra Session: Experience deep relaxation and inner exploration through the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra.
Yoga Nidra is a Sanskrit term that translates to "yogic sleep." It is a systematic practice of deep relaxation, guided imagery, and meditation. Unlike conventional sleep, where the mind becomes dormant, Yoga Nidra allows one to achieve a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep. It is a state where the body relaxes, but the mind remains fully awake and receptive.
Sound Healing Journey: Let the healing vibrations of sound instruments such as crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, and chimes wash over you, promoting profound relaxation and inner healing.
About the Instructor:
My yoga journey started in 2013. As a child and teenager, I enjoyed dance and gymnastics and had even coached competitive gymnastics for many years during high school and university. After finishing university, I got an office job, commuted several hours a day to work and became a mother to 2 boys, gained a lot of weight and became sedentary. Fast forward to 2013, I quit my office job to pursue my own business of designing and creating dance costumes and gymnastics apparel. With a more flexible schedule, I stepped into my first Zumba class in the summer of 2013 and was completely hooked, Yoga soon followed. I lost 80 pounds very quickly. I became a Zumba instructor in Nov 2013 and then a Yoga Instructor in May 2015.
Like many people, my yoga journey began as a physical practice and quickly evolved into more. I was intrigued to learn more about the connection of the body, mind, and spirit. I went on to complete my 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training and additional certifications in YIN, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. In the last few years, my focus and interest has also included finding modalities that can help find balance and bring restoration into my life. I am a level 2 certified Sound Healer and I am currently working on my Transformational Breathwork and Meditation Certifications.
My vision is to guide people in their own healing journeys by offering different types of workshops that incorporate a combination of practices that can bring about healing, balance and restoration into their own lives.
Price: $50.00 plus HST - non members must pay drop in guest fee plus workshop fee.
