This spring, Lisboa-Portugal's Minta & The Brook Trout - who write songs about everyday things, like breakups and furniture, are heading out on a six day tour of Ontario and Quebec with Toronto songwriters Sarah Greene and Paul Kolinski.Minta's new album, Stretch, their fifth album, was released by louva-adeus in September 2025. The most international record in the band’s history, it features Shelley Short (US) and The Weather Station (CA) as guest singers on two tracks (“Please Make Room For Me Please” with Shelley Short and “Born To Be Mild” with The Weather Station). Minta will be touring as a duo (Francisca Cortesão and Mariana Ricardo).
Sarah Greene’s idiosyncratically warm, soulful, country-tinged folk-rock songs are rooted in her hometown of Toronto. More specifically, the stories of the songs were often written while biking to and from Tranzac, a not for profit community hub where Greene works. Greene is touring as a duo with Paul Kolinski.
With an opening set by Cat Shelter (Fahmid Nibesh and Jean Néant).
