Minor Gold - the harmony-drenched cosmic-folk duo from Australia - bring their new album Way to the Sun to North America in 2026. Formed in 2023 by ARIA nominated songwriters Tracy McNeil (CAN) and Dan Parsons (AUS), the pair recorded their sophomore album Way to the Sun with California producer Dan Horne (Mapache, Cass McCombs) - the album's fresh, radiant sound has been turning heads globally since it released in July 2025. Described by UNCUT magazine as a “delightful pairing - with an alluring telepathy to the way their voices curl around each other, rarely heard in country music since Emmylou Harris rode shotgun with Gram Parsons.”
Way to the Sun spent nine weeks on the US Americana Radio Chart, appeared in UNCUT’s Top Tracks of the Month, earned ★★★★ reviews from Shindig (UK) and PROG Magazine, and was praised by Americana UK as “retro California sounds brought bang up to date.
Critics noting echoes of Simon & Garfunkel’s intertwined melodies, the close-mic guitar intimacy of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, and the open-road, wide-horizon spirit of the Grateful Dead - all filtered through a modern, sun-lit sound that feels effortless and alive.
