Originally from North Carolina and now based in Northern California’s Wine Country for over 35 years, Ricky Ray brings a touch of his Southern accent and roots to every performance. A direct descendant of the Swanger family featured in the movie "Cold Mountain," his music is heavily influenced by legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Allman Brothers, Van Morrison, Ray Charles, James Taylor, and Al Green. His versatile repertoire spans Blues, Jazz, Pop Blues, and Southern Soul and Roll, with a special focus on beloved hits from the 1960s and 70s.
