Minimalism & Modern Decorative ArtAdult Art Workshop
📍 Newmarket Public Library – 2nd Floor, Story Room
📅 May 30, 2026
Discover the beauty of simplicity in this contemporary art workshop inspired by minimalism and modern decorative design.
Guided by the legacy of Piet Mondrian and contemporary artists working with clean lines, colour fields, and balanced composition, this session explores how less can truly become more. Minimalist art is not about limitation—it’s about clarity, intention, and creating harmony through form and colour.
Led by professional artist Kate Medvedok, this workshop offers a calm, focused, and inspiring environment with a small group (up to 12 participants), allowing for individual guidance and exploration.
🎨 What You’ll Explore & Create
• Key ideas of minimalism and modern decorative art
• Inspiration from Mondrian’s geometric compositions and contemporary design trends
• Working with colour blocking, line, and spatial balance
• Creating elegant, gallery-style artwork for modern interiors
