About this Event
In this Hojakdo (호작도) MinHwa workshop, students will create their own artwork based on KPop Demon Hunter's Tiger and Magpie (Derpy and Sussie!) Our teaching artist will guide step-by-step coloring techniques and gradation to create rich, vibrant layers as we bring to life our favorite sidekicks from KPop Demon Hunters.
For this workshop, the base sketch will be provided by the teaching artist on high-quality mulberry paper, mounted on an artist's wood panel. Students will apply colors, color gradation, final details, and artist seal (dojang) to create their own unique work to take home.
All materials are provided.

Hojakdo (호작도): Tiger and Magpie Paintings
Derpy and Sussie are based on historic Tiger and Magpie paintings (Hojakdo (호작도)), Korean folk paintings that symbolize good fortune and social satire. Our workshop will combine this historical Minhwa theme with the unique qualities and accessories from the film KPop Demon Hunters.
