A new 6 week course on Tuesday evenings at the Hub@531, an introduction to mindfulness taught within the context of menopause for women who want to supplement their existing approach. Topics covered will include calming the busy mind, becoming aware, working with acceptance, self compassion, gratitude, and developing a mindfulness practise that fits into life. Mindfulness training can provide support for stress, anxiety and depression, and can complement existing therapy or clinical approaches.Join Annette (MSc Mindfulness Studies) to discover how mindfulness techniques can effectively support your sense of wellbeing before and during the often challenging years of menopause. Annette completed her final year dissertation by designing a mindfulness based intervention specifically for menopausal women and this course is based on her research project that showed positive results for all the women who took part.
