A little more about Mindfest®
Mindfest® is a festival that explores all aspects of mental health and wellbeing. is a festival that explores all aspects of mental health and wellbeing.
Our goal is to increase awareness about what can be done to support one’s own emotional and mental health and to empower people to reach out for support when it is needed for themselves or others.
Historically stigma and shame have been barriers to people realising that they need help and to ask for it. So much can affect the way we feel - our environment, upbringing, diet, mindset and past painful experiences. What each person has gone through and has to deal with is as unique as the individual, and that can feel isolating.
Mindfest® is about coming together as a community, to break through the stigma and bring people together to share and explore tools, strategies and activities as part of the many ways we can all look after ourselves.
It has developed from a collection of community talks and stalls in 2019 at a local secondary school in Dorking to an all-encompassing day of informative talks with Industry leading experts in their field, workshops based around the prevention of mental health issues and addressing mental health concerns, fully immersive experiences such as breath work and sound bath sessions and musical entertainment.
