About this Event
Welcome to 'Mind the Gab', an initiative redefining London's Underground as a lively hub for discussion and innovation. Commuters become catalysts for change, fostering dialogue on societal issues during their journeys. Our vision expands the Tube's role beyond transportation, aiming to cultivate a space where diverse perspectives fuel engaging conversations.
MA Architecture students from the University of Westminster, passionate and enthusiastic about creating meaningful dialogue and fostering connections within the community, will host a workshop to facilitate reimagining London’s world-renowned Tube as a catalyst for social change and innovation. The event will start with a story at the Baker Street tube station and continue with a panel discussion at the University of Westminster’s Marylebone Campus. We will be joined by invited social activists, academics working to promote positive change in urban environments, and artists showcasing the way art inspires change in public spaces. This will be followed by a participatory workshop where we hope to break traditional boundaries and address pressing topics like climate change and living costs.
While we take on the role of facilitators, the heart and soul of our event are you: commuters, residents, professionals, activists, and anyone who wants to share their thoughts and engage in discussion. Let's celebrate communication, nurture relationships, and infuse the Underground with the vibrant pulse of our city. Join our revolution for innovation, connection, and community.
