Remodel your meditation practice into something more wild and free with Mind Bod Adventure Pod co-hosts Jeff Warren and Tasha Schumann. In this retreat, Tasha Schumann and Jeff Warren , two writers, creators, and meditation teachers, will take the spirit of their Mind Bod Adventure Pod and remake it as an in-person community meditation hang out. The subject is the weird and wonderful world of “practice,” i.e., things we can do with our minds and bodies in order to learn, grow, and heal.
Nutshell: Practice can make the box you live in feel nicer, or it can explode the whole box and transform it into something wilder and more free. Today, we explore both. We'll focus on three practice pillars rooted in Buddhist methods: practices of stability, practices of expression, and practices of direct-seeing into the bonkers interconnected nature of reality.
From grizzled meditators to bright-eyed beginners, the only requirements are a curious mind and an open heart. We go broad, we go deep, and we do it all in community. With jokes!
This day retreat is a sneak peek sampling of the upcoming 5 day Mind Bod Adventure Squad residential retreat at Omega Center in June 2025. It will be held in person at Toronto's Friends House (60 Lowther Ave, just north of St George Subway Station), with the possibility of attending virtually on zoom, and offered on a "pay what you're able to" model, with a wide sliding scale to accomodate all income ranges. The funds will go toward supporting the CEC and Mind Bod Adventure Pod with their mission of making meditation and personal growth practices fun and accessible to all.
