Come join us for a Milonga (Intermediate) Class after work. Argentine Tango, consists of 3 rhythms: Milonga, Tango, and Vals. They all have similar step patterns but the rhythm of each is different. This class will focus on understanding the Afro. based rhythm, called Candombe. Milonga, the first rhythm created, with an accentuation the fast stacato tempo. Class will focus on:
- Learning the fast, small and percussive staccato step
- Rhythmic walking, and Sequences
- Milonga Musicality
- The difference between Milonga Lisa & Triaspie
Classes will be held at NYCITY TANGO school, in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The school will operate from room 203 in Teatro LATEA, a Latino cultural staple for over 40 years, the birthplace of the historical Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center, The Clemente, at 107 Suffolk Street.
We offer group classes Tuesday through Saturday, with a varied schedule that caters to the Absolute Beginner to the Advanced.
