Join us for Milk & Mic, a heart-filled evening blending art, community, and the beauty of our breastfeeding journeys.
In honor of Black Breastfeeding Week, we’ll gather outdoors to celebrate the stories, poetry, and voices that uplift and affirm the experiences of Black breastfeeding parents, families, and birthworkers.
✨ What to Expect:
- Open mic for poetry, storytelling, and music
- Reflections on Black motherhood, birth, and breastfeeding
- Warm, family-friendly atmosphere
- Space to connect with others in the community
- Light refreshments provided🎟 Cost: Free & open to all
🌿 Outdoor Note: Please bring a chair, blanket, or anything that will keep you comfortable while you enjoy the evening.
💼 Vendors Welcome:We’re inviting local makers, birthworkers, and community organizations to table at the event. If you’d like to share your products, resources, or services with attendees, please email I[email protected] with “Vendor Sign-Up – Milk & Mic” in the subject line.
🎤 Calling Poets & Storytellers:We are offering stipends to featured poets and storytellers who sign up in advance. If you’d like to perform, please email [email protected] with “Performer Sign-Up – Milk & Mic” in the subject line, along with your name, contact info, and a brief description of what you’d like to share.
