About this Event
In addition to its regular weekday hours (10-4 Wed-Fri), Founder’s Hall Museum hosts a monthly weekend open house. Visitors can enjoy special themed highlights and activities, along with the opportunity for a self-guided visit to the museum.
In honor of Veteran's Day, join us in November for Military Memories Open House at Founder's Hall as we highlight some of the many alumni who served their country, the history of military training at the school through the Girard College Battalion, and life at Girard College in wartime, from the Civil War onwards. This in-person event is perfect for history buffs, veterans, and families looking to learn more about our military heritage. See you there!
- This open house event is FREE, and open to everyone. Advance registration is helpful for us, but walk-in visitors are very welcome.
- Founder's Hall is a National Historic Landmark. The museum is located on the second floor and requires climbing a flight of stairs to view.
- Because Girard College is an active school, you will quickly check in with security when arriving on campus.
- Parking is available for free on-site; we are also accessible by several bus lines and are a half-mile walk from the Girard Avenue subway stop.
- Check out www.foundershall.org for more information about our programs, collections, and online resources
