About this Event
Because of massive floods, fires, and heat waves, more of us are becoming aware of the threat of climate change. But many fewer realize the profound connection between climate catastrophe and the massive militarism of the US and other Western countries. In this presentation, Marian Ronan will lay out the devastating connections between the two, and what needs to be done to reverse the dire situation.
Marian Ronan, Ph.D., was a professor of religion at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley California from 1999 to 2008, and a Research Professor of Catholic Studies at New York Theological Seminary from 2009 to 2023. She is the author or co-author of seven books and hundreds of articles. She serves on the Board of Brooklyn for Peace and is co-editor of their weekly newsletter.
