Yin yoga derives from Traditional Chinese Medicine and follows the elements and meridians commonly used in acupuncture. Its longer supported holds direct us to our edge both physically and mentally. This, in turn, unlocks stuck channels in our fascia, reduces inflammation, and ultimately allows for improved mobility and strength in our joints.
Yoga nidrā is a guided meditation and in Sanskrit means sleep. With a 30 minute practice moving us through beta, alpha, theta, and delta brain waves, it is believed to mimic a 4hr sleep cycle. By uniting these practices, we navigate our vital energy AKA Qi back to the seat of our soul: a gentle reminder that it is in quiet places our destiny whispers the answers we are seeking.Ideal for injury prevention and recovery, augmenting sleep hygiene, toning the autonomic nervous system, reinforcing the practice of staying present and unattached, and expanding our capacity for the dualities of everyday life.
