Midweek Musical Matinee
"From Baroque Elegance to Romantic Fire"

In-Person at the Osher Marin JCC, 200 N. San Pedro Road (San Rafael, CA)

Join pianist David Manley and flutist Rustam Baibikov who take you on a beautiful and varied musical journey of masterworks that transport you from the Baroque period to the Romantic period. Today's program includes:

1) Antonio Vivaldi – Sonata in F Major for Flute and Continuo, RV 52

2) J.S. Bach – Menuet & Badinerie from Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor, BWV 1067

3) François Borne – Fantaisie brillante on themes from Carmen

4) Nikolay R.-Korsakov. Indian Guest from opera “Sadko.”

5) F.Schubert . Sonata Arpeggione, 1st movement.

6) Benjamin Godard – Suite de trois morceaux, Op. 116

7) J.Brahms. Hungarian Dance №5.

About Rustam Baibikov


Flutist Rustam Baibikov was born in Ukraine, educated in Russia (classical conservatory in Moscow), and is rooted in Tatar culture.


Having performed in symphony orchestras & chamber ensembles as well as having led a Tatar folk band for many years including over 700 concerts for children, he is known for "connecting heart to heart" through music and storytelling. In 2020, he moved to the U.S where he found a deep connection with open-hearted audiences. Every performance is a conversation, a moment of shared presence through sound.

About David Manley


Pianist David Manley’s diverse range of musical experience includes a variety of instrumental studies (piano, harpsichord, violin, viola, & guitar) & performing styles (classical, jazz, pop, rock & musical theater). A dedicated music educator, Mr. Manley teaches at the University of Silicon Valley and has extensive experience as an accompanist, vocal coach, and music director.
