A key part of the Mid Western Junior fishing competition is the FISH AUCTION that occurs on the Saturday night after weigh in. All funds raised from the fish auction are used to support the Mid Western Junior Rugby Teams in their upcoming season.All fish and crayfish/packhorses caught and weighed in as part of the competition go under the hammer and are auctioned off. The auction starts at 5pm and the prizegiving for the competition will take place once the auction has finished.
Fish species that are part of the competition include:
-Snapper
-Trevally
-Kingfish
-Kahawai (Bled)
-Crayfish
-Packhorse
This year we will again have Fish to Fish on site, ready to fillet the fish you purchase for an additional $10*.
All you need to do is show up ready to place a bid at 5pm.
*Please note: All fish purchased at the auction will be filleted and include this as an additional cost, unless you opt out of it, as soon as your bid is successful.
