About this Event
This cupping session will be hosted at our roasting facility in South Lansing. It will feature our next limited release-- a Colombian coffee from Huver Castillo at El Paseo Farm.
The El Paseo is an anaerobic honey process bean from the Buesaco/Nariño region of Colombia--grown at about 1.800 meters above sea level. There is a $10 fee in order to hold your place, but if you decide to buy one of our first bags, the $10 is applied to the purchase.
If you aren't familiar with cupping, it's essentially slurping coffee with a spoon and chatting about interesting aspects of the brew. Here at The 517 Coffee Co., we often use cupping while tasting sample roasts. In this experience, you'll learn how we've formalized our tastings to create our coffee profiles. There's no right or wrong answer here; we're just sharing our approach.
