Salt is part of everyday life, from the food we eat to the roads we travel. But it also offers a powerful lens for understanding ecosystems and our relationship to the natural world.Join us for an interactive workshop exploring salt as both material and metaphor. Through an Indian salt painting and a live crankie theater performance with music, participants will explore how even a single grain can reveal complex connections between people, landscapes, and ecosystems.
Presented in collaboration with the MSU Museum and supported by the 2025 a2ru Emerging Creatives Challenge Grant. Part of the MSU Science Festival and the exhibition The Science of Salt.
