About this Event

The Found Object Society is an atmospheric speculative suspense novel following a mysterious society offering its members the chance to relive the death of another person whenever they want—and the self-destructive woman determined to uncover its secrets.
This ambitious, genre-bending debut is perfect for fans of time-travel fiction including Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library and Gareth Brown’s The Book of Doors.


Michelle Maryk graduated from Cornell University with a degree in English and attended the Yale Writer’s Workshop. For the better part of twenty-five years, she’s been a successful voiceover, on-camera commercial, and comedic actor, and she is a dual Swedish and US citizen. Matthew Sullivan, author of Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore (Scribner), was an IndieNext pick, a B&N Discover Pick, a GoodReads Choice Award finalist, and winner of the Colorado Book Award. His new stand-alone novel, Midnight in Soap Lake (HSP/HarperCollins), is a multi-layered mystery pitched as “Twin Peaks meets Tana French.” His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Poets & Writers, The Strand, LitHub, CrimeReads and elsewhere, and his short stories have been awarded the Florida Review Editor’s Prize and the Robert Olen Butler Fiction Prize. He lives and writes in Anacortes, WA.
