Returning to the stage at Judson’s Live, the Big Apple’s very own Michael Andrew brings his timeless vocals back for a swinging two-night residency. Michael was the headline singer and bandleader at the world-famous Rainbow Room atop Rockefeller Center in Manhattan for two years, entertaining audiences nightly and hosting “Live from the Rainbow Room” on broadcast radio. He also served as the bandleader for Merv Griffin’s Coconut Club at The Beverly Hilton in California and was praised by Griffin as “one of the great singers of all time.”ABOUT THE ARTIST
A frequent symphonic pops guest artist, Michael has appeared with orchestras in numerous cities across America. His hit musical, Mickey Swingerhead & the Earthgirls led to the formation of his 8-piece band, Swingerhead, which toured all over the country. Michael also formed The Atomic Big Band, an 18-piece band that has performed in Hollywood for the premiere of the Warner Bros. movie Poseidon and continues to play engagements from presidential inaugural balls to high society fundraisers.
