In the workshop, Alfonsina and Michael will focus on the mechanics of the embrace in tango as a tool for communication. For them, the embrace is a place of active connection rather than a fixed shape, and this work grows out of their own shared explorations on how the embrace can support clarity, adaptability and a more dynamic dialogue in the dance.
They will explore how movement can range from very small, internal gestures to larger, more external ones, and how these different scales of movement affect connection, mutual listening, and expression. The proposal is to develop awareness, intention and contact, helping to enhance your steps and personal style.
