About this Event
This summer, MFON and Photoville, in partnership with MPB, the Open Society Foundations, and the Parsons School of Design are proud to present the inaugural at the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
As part of the 2024 Photoville Festival, this one-day symposium will include a series of panel discussions, featuring scholars, artists, and curators. We are excited to be joined by Dr. Deborah Willis, Joy Gregory, Lynsey Weatherspoon, Marilyn Nance, Melissa Alcena, Nadiya Nacorda, Naima Green, Nicole Acheampong, Noelle Flores Théard, Nona Faustine Simmons, Yelanie Rodriguez, and many more to be announced as we discuss the importance of archiving and elevating the voices of women and non-binary photographers of African descent.
