We’ve partnered with the North Carolina Museum of History to kick off the Plott Hound Book Club with a hands-on Metal Stamping Bookmark Workshop and Book Swap!Your ticket includes access to both experiences, beginning with a guided workshop where you’ll create your own custom metal stamped bookmark, ornament, or accessory, followed by time to connect with fellow readers and browse a curated book swap. Whether you’re part of the Plott Hound Book Club or simply love books and making things by hand, you’re welcome to join us.
During the workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of metal stamping through a step-by-step demonstration, including an introduction to the tools and materials, access to over 25 font styles and more than 400 design stamps, and the opportunity to practice your technique before creating your final piece. You’ll receive guidance throughout the process and will leave with a finished item that you can use, wear, or gift.
This is an intimate experience capped at 16 participants, and one ticket is required per person. Guests are welcome to bring drinks, including wine or beer, as well as snacks. If you plan to attend with others and would like to sit together, we recommend purchasing tickets at the same time and leaving a note at checkout.
