About this Event

Want to take things higher? Whether you're signed up or just exploring the idea, join Action Challenge for an inspiring and informative evening all about two of our most exciting overseas adventures: Mera Peak in Nepal and the Ecuador Volcanoes Challenge. These are ideal "next challenges" to step up for anyone who's taken on altitude treks such as Mount Kilimanjaro or Everest Base Camp, as they have some technical elements — but with the right preparation and training, they’re absolutely achievable.

Mera Peak Challenge – Nepal

Standing at 6,476m, Mera Peak is Nepal’s highest trekking peak and offers stunning views of five 8,000m giants including Everest.

Trip Highlights:

  • Trek through remote Himalayan valleys and Sherpa villages
  • Glacier travel and rope work on summit day
  • Acclimatisation days built into the itinerary
  • Panoramic views from the summit ridge
  • Led by experienced mountain guides and local experts

Ecuador Volcanoes Challenge

A thrilling journey through the Avenue of Volcanoes, culminating in a summit attempt of Cayambe (5,790m) —the only snow-capped mountain on the equator!

Trip Highlights:

  • Climb multiple peaks including Pasochoa, Rumiñahui, and Cayambe
  • Technical glacier ascent with crampons and ice axe
  • Explore vibrant Quito and Andean landscapes
  • Ideal for those looking to build alpine experience
  • Supported by UK Mountain Leaders
