About this Event
Take the first step towards a mentally healthier life and workplace with this engaging, evidence-based course from MHFA England.
Mental Health Aware is designed for anyone who wants to develop a better understanding of mental health — whether for personal growth, to support those around them, or to contribute to a more compassionate environment at work or in their community.
In this accessible half-day session, you will explore what mental health really means and learn how to challenge the stigma that so often surrounds it. You'll gain insight into some of the most common mental health issues people face, giving you the knowledge to recognise when someone might be struggling. You'll also build the confidence to have supportive, meaningful conversations — and discover practical self-care strategies to protect and nurture your own wellbeing.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
· Define mental health and understand its impact on everyday life
· Recognise signs of common mental health issues
· Feel more confident supporting someone experiencing mental ill health
· Identify self-care strategies to maintain your own mental wellbeing
Whether you're attending for personal or professional reasons, Mental Health Aware equips you with the essential knowledge and skills to make a real difference — to yourself and to those around you.
