(Open to everyone: women and men from the African diaspora and beyond.)
About this Event
OPEN TO ALL* — WOMEN & MEN
Are you a woman, an African/Afro-descendant woman, or simply someone concerned about mental well-being and mental health issues in Africa and beyond?
Join us for a meaningful and deeply human evening dedicated to the mental health of African women and the sociocultural pressures they face.
Through an expert panel, personal testimonies, and open discussions, this event aims to create a safe space for dialogue, reflection, awareness, and open conversations around topics that are still too often overlooked or silenced.
In many cultures, mental health remains a taboo subject. Between family expectations, social norms, performance pressure, and the constant injunction to “stay strong,” many people navigate demanding environments in silence.
This evening seeks to shine a light on these realities, challenge stigma, highlight stories of resilience, encourage seeking support, and foster a compassionate space for listening and sharing.
