The hormonal changes that women go through in perimenopause & menopause can affect multiple areas of the body and brain. It can also be one of many events happening alongside; job changes, parental responsibility or caring needs. You could still be working full-time and having to juggle all other responsibility hats with the additional fear of the changes in your wellbeing.
Mental Health & Menopause are closely linked. Individuals who are in perimenopause or menopause can experience increased anxiety, emotional overwhelm & brain fog. The effects of menopause on our mental health can be scary and impact our daily function; with some experiencing a loss of identity, so it is crucial that we understand how we can support ourselves better.
The impact of menopause on mental health is underestimated and misunderstood, adding an additional layer of pressure and confusion, at a time when it is least needed.
Raising awareness and sharing access to educational information on this topic is really important to aid others to better understand their own wellbeing; learning strategies to support & help them to know what treatment options are available.
What we will cover :
Understand the chemical workings of the brain and how these are affected.
Discuss symptoms that are experienced during perimenopause and menopause.
Build the confidence to effectively communicate your experience & feelings.
Understand the interventions & treatment options that are available.
Explore the Mental health impact experienced during the menopause & Why?
Discuss how to positively support your own mindset.
Gain the tools and strategies to deal with overwhelm and stress.
Build an awareness of how you can support others to support themselves.

About the Coaches:
Hannah Murray
As a Mental Health professional with a wealth of experience and knowledge in refocusing client mindsets, Hannah is committed to supporting individuals conquer their own mind stresses & refocus them in a positive direction.
After experiencing her own Mental Health challenges in her 20's, Hannah decided to use what she had leant and experienced to build a support service that would support others to do the same. The benefits of a support service for Hannah were invaluable, at the most vulnerable point of her life.
As an experienced coach & NHS Professional, Hannah coaches & mentors others gain control of their mindset; encouraging positive change. Coaching is tailored to each client need, including corporate clients and builds a sense of personal empowerment; allowing every individual to gain self awareness and understanding. Despite living in an increasingly high pressured world, every one of us should have access to the tools that enable us to become focused with confidence; stay positive and manage stress easier. Mindset is everything!
Sophie Cartledge
Sophie is a certified Menopause coach from Hormones on the blink and is passionate about raising awareness of perimenopause & menopause particularly in the workplace and local community. She believes that having access to the right information and tools before perimenopause would allow people to have a more positive experience and it would reduce the impact both personally and professionally.
Having experienced the personal effects of perimenopause on her own mental health, Sophie is keen to help empower others to understand why this happens and what can help.
Hormones on the blink deliver a range of CPD accredited Menopause training, including menopause training for managers, menopause champion training and menopause workshops for employees. They also provide a range of community support, in the form of menopause groups and community menopause courses.
