About this Event
Watching something come together at the slight of (your) hand is an empowering experience. The confidence to create a visible repair, the ability to fix something so carefully that no one would know it's been broken, the freedom to make a decision of bringing an artwork to life... let's exercise those.
We're hosting a casual gathering for clothing mending and upcycling. We will supply materials, including lots of extra fabric to use for patching. But feel free to bring extra materials to share! If you don't have anything in your closet that needs repairing but want to engage in the loving act of mending, come anyway: we have a project bin of cool clothes that need TLC so maybe you'll find one you like to repair and take home for free ❤️
When: 1st Wednesdays of the month, 6-7:30pm
Where: Thrift 2 Fight at 48 Broadway in Tivoli
Bring: yourself, your project, mending materials (optional)
