Mend with Friends Workshop: Sashiko Basics

What to bring:

• needles, pins, thread, embroidery thread, fabric scraps if you have them
• one or more items of clothing to mend

What to expect:

First hour or so: learn about Sashiko, a traditional Japanese visible mending technique.

• Brief history, tools, general rules
• Follow along with a step-by-step demonstration

Remaining time: work on your own mending projects, share advice and support. We will provide some basic tools and materials. + a big pot of coffee to kick off the morning!
