About this Event
safeTALK is suicide prevention training program that teaches people how to recognise signs that someone may be thinking about suicide, start a conversation, and connect them to help.It’s designed for everyday people (not clinicians) and builds confidence to act early.safeTALK teaches participants to:
- Notice warning signs of distress and suicide risk
- Ask and start a direct, safe conversation
- Listen and take the person seriously
- Connect them to professional support (school wellbeing, GP, Lifeline, mental health services)
