On the third Wednesday of each month, the downstairs area at Turkey Hill Brewing Co. (991 Central Rd., Bloomsburg) becomes a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for people living with dementia and their loved ones. These Purple Plate Dinners (from 4:00 - 5:30 PM) have been very beneficial for families who often feel uncomfortable dining out due to potential behaviors or special needs, which are accommodated by the caring restaurant staff. Guests can enjoy a pay-your-own-way meal featuring a limited menu. Registration is required by the Monday before the event.
