Join us at Inspire Health Services on Friday, May 9 for a Community BBQ and EDS/HSD Hypermobility Meet Up raising funds and awareness for the Ehlers-Danlos Society during EDS and HSD Awareness Month.
The morning will begin with a community fundraising BBQ from 9:30am to 11:00am, along with interactive artworks to help raise awareness and encourage conversation.
From 11:00am to 12:00pm, there will be a free ticketed meet up for individuals living with EDS, HSD, and hypermobility, featuring giveaways and door prizes in a welcoming and supportive community space.

Things to Know
Meet up registration
The 11:00am to 12:00pm EDS/HSD Hypermobility Meet Up is a free ticketed session, so please register in advance to secure your place.
Who the meet up is for
The meet up is intended for individuals living with EDS, HSD, and hypermobility and is designed to provide a supportive and welcoming environment.
Fundraising BBQ
The Community BBQ from 9:30am to 11:00am is open as part of the broader community event and supports fundraising and awareness for the Ehlers-Danlos Society.
Comfort and accessibility
We understand many attendees may be managing pain, fatigue, mobility limitations, or sensory needs. Guests are encouraged to attend in whatever way feels manageable and comfortable for them.
Seating and pacing
Attendees are welcome to participate at their own pace. You do not need to stay for the entire event.
Prizes and giveaways
Door prizes and giveaways will be available during the meet up session.
What to bring
You may wish to bring:
- a water bottle
- any mobility or comfort aids you usually use
- a support person if required
- anything you may need to remain comfortable during the event
