EDUCATIONAL ADVOCACY COMES TO THE VINEYARD
Join us on Martha's Vineyard for an insightful conversation with HBCU leaders about educational equity, HBCU impact and community-centered advocacy. Meredith B.L. Anderson, Ph.D., Director of K-12 research at UNCF will offer opening remarks at the 2nd Annual STATE of the HBCUnion ADDRESS and share insights from UNCF’s K-12 Advocacy work.
UNCF is committed to forging meaningful HBCU K-12 partnerships to build teacher and leader pipelines, create high-quality schools, publish timely reports and research to influence policy and drive systemic change to improve local educational outcomes for underrepresented students.
Dr. Anderson will bring insights from UNCF reports, Imparting Wisdom: HBCU Lessons for K-12 Education, "Hear Us, Believe Us" and other research that highlight powerful truths: HBCU K-12 partnerships provide transformational change in education and community-centered advocacy can empower families and promote student success.
